I live in Chicago, so I love a good blanket. Truthfully, cozy blankets are pretty much necessary to get through the cold winter months. And while I’ve owned a lot of good ones over the years, we’ve fallen in love with ChappyWrap blankets.

I kind of resisted them for a while because they aren’t cheap… but now that I own two, I can confirm that absolutely they live up to the hype. Plus Luna is even more obsessed than we are!

Chappywrap was founded by Mother-Daughter duo Beth LaSala and Christina Livada. They were inspired by a well-made and durable blanket that they purchased in Germany and had in their family for years.

When they went to look for another blanket like it, they realized there wasn’t anything else that compared to the quality, warmth, or size of theirs. So they created their own!

WHAT SETS CHAPPYWRAP APART FROM OTHER BLANKETS?

ChappyWrap stands out due to its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. They are made from a blend of 58% premium cotton, 35% acrylic, and 7% polyester. This unique blend allows for repeated washing while maintaining an extra soft feel. Their blankets are also resistant to shrinking, pilling, and static.

In addition, their designs are woven instead of printed or dyed. This means that individual yarns are twisted and fed into Jacquard looms for durability and to prevent yarn breakage.

They also go through a process called napping which makes ChappyWraps softer and fuller than other woven blankets.

How big are ChappyWrap blankets?

They actually have a few different sizes! We have two and both are the original size, or “The Chappy”, which is 60″ x 80″. In my opinion, this is the perfect size. Big enough for even my tall husband to snuggle up under, but not so big that it’s overwhelming.

ChappyWrap also offers a larger Family Size that is 90″ x 90″, as well as a smaller Midi Size (40″ x 60″). And if you’re looking for a new baby blanket or toddler gift, they also come in mini size (30″ x 40″).

How do you use your Chappywrap?

ChappyWrap blankets are functional, but they’re also really cute, too! They have a really impressive variety of colors and patterns to choose from. Whether you’re all about neutrals or you’re looking for a fun pop of color, there’s bound to be something that compliments your home decor.

We currently have this blue blanket on our bed, this lighter one on our guest bed, and an older green one on our couch.

I love that it looks nice while also adding an extra layer of warmth. We often find Luna in the bedroom sleeping on top of it during the day now too. It’s so sweet how much she loves it!

Are ChappyWrap blankets suitable for year-round use, or are they only for colder seasons?

For me, this is the real magic of these blankets. They’re super cozy and warm, but they are also somehow breathable too? I don’t know how they do it!

How do I care for my ChappyWrap blanket?

This is the other big selling point in this ChappyWrap review – their blankets are machine washable AND dryer friendly. Just use on a gentle cycle with mild detergent when washing, and then tumble dry on low heat. Couldn’t be easier.

Would ChappyWrap blankets make a good gift this holiday season?

YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES! This is going to be one of my top recommendations this holiday season. I particularly think it’s a great gift for parents, in-laws, anyone who has recently moved, kids, or even people obsessed with their dogs 🙂
