We’re not out here harvesting your life story. Here’s what actually gets collected when you use TrendsInReview:
Information you give us directly
If you fill out our contact form, submit a pitch through our Write for Us page, or send us a partnership inquiry through our Work With Us page — you’re giving us information like your name, email address, website URL, and whatever else you include in your message. We only use that to respond to you. Simple as that.
Information collected automatically
Like pretty much every website on the internet, we collect some basic data automatically when you visit. This includes things like your IP address, browser type, which pages you visited, how long you spent on them, and where you came from before landing here. This is standard stuff — it helps us understand how people use the site so we can make it better.
Cookies
Yes, we use cookies. Not the good kind unfortunately. These are small text files that get stored on your device when you visit the site. Some of them are essential for the site to function properly. We don’t hold onto data longer than we need to. Contact form submissions and pitch inquiries are kept long enough to handle the conversation and then cleared out. Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of the tools we use — typically 26 months for Google Analytics.
If you want your data removed sooner, just ask.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. That includes standard security measures on our hosting side and being careful about who has access to our backend systems.
That said — no website can guarantee 100% security. The internet isn’t built that way. What we can promise is that we take it seriously and don’t treat your data carelessly.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page. If the changes are big enough to warrant a heads-up, we’ll find a way to let regular visitors know.
