If you are a candle lover, it’s likely that you’ve heard of Hotel Lobby Candle. This influencer-founded brand launched in 2020 with limited quantities that sold out in less than 30 minutes. Since then, they’ve been making waves in the industry with their ultra chic candles with amazing scents inspired by iconic hotels around the world.

But these aren’t your typical candles – both in quality and price. If you are used to grabbing a $10 candle at Target, then these might be a bit of a shock. So, are they worth it?

As I mentioned, Hotel Lobby Candle was founded by influencer Lindsay Silberman and her husband during the pandemic. I had already been following her for her fantastic reviews and recommendations, so I remember their wildly successful limited edition launch back in 2020.

Since then, they have established an array of signature scents inspired by iconic hotels all around the world – and each one smells better than the next.

What sets these apart from other candles?

Beyond the fact that the scents are unmatched, Hotel Lobby Candles are also made with an all natural soy wax. Soy burns cooler and longer than paraffin, and uncolored soy is safer to burn.

Their wicks are lead-free and made of braided cotton, and their fragrances are a combination of essential oils and fragrance oils that are phthalate-free and adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety.

On top of all of that, Hotel Lobby Candle’s attention to detail is incredible. They arrive in a beautiful box with a ribbon and hotel key card (so cute!) that includes burning instructions. Then you open it and the hand painted glass vessels are just as beautiful. Plus the scent will blow you away before you even light it!

How long do they last?

Each candle has a 65 hour burn time. (That’s a long time!)

Are they worth the price?

Of course, all of this comes at a price. At $56 each, these are not cheap. So are they worth it? For me, yes. These candles are so far beyond any other candle I’ve ever tried – the scent, the burn time, the packaging, all of it.

They’ve literally ruined cheap candles for me. They just don’t even feel worth it anymore! At this point, I would rather have one Hotel Lobby Candle than multiple less expensive candles. Hands down, no question.

Would Hotel Lobby candles make a good gift?

Yes yes a thousand times yes! While you might have trouble justifying this purchase for yourself, they make a PERFECT gift. Not only is it a great quality item and everyone loves a good candle – but it also feels like a luxury gift. Your recipient will immediately know they’re in for a treat when they see the box with the bow and key card. It’s so pretty!

My favorite Hotel Lobby Scents

Positano

The Positano candle is the best summer candle I’ve ever smelled. I usually don’t associate candles with summer at all, but this one is so bright and fresh! The scent is a blend of bitter orange and sandalwood – so citrusy and lovely. I like to burn it in my kitchen!

Hamptons

If you prefer more of a farmer’s market vibe, the Hamptons candle might be a better summer choice for you! Instead of citrusy, this one is more herby – I smell basil and mint, along with tomato and geranium. It’s a great gift for any Nancy Meyers loving dinner party host!

Paris Nuit

I’ve never been to Paris but I looove their Paris Nuit candle. This candle is sultry and a little masculine with notes of black musk, spicy pepper, waxed wood, rum and a little tobacco. I know it sounds silly to call a candle sexy, but it is honest

Aspen

The Aspen candle is currently sold out but I hope they restock because it is SO GOOD. This was a collaboration with the historic Hotel Jerome and their luxury lobby. They describe the scent as vintage cedarwood, tooled leather, and golden embers on a smoky base with notes of snow-capped pine.

Holiday

This is the only holiday candle you’ll ever need! To me, this smells like Christmas in the best ways. It’s strong, but not overpowering and it’s not sweet at all. Instead it has rich notes of evergreen, fresh pine, balsam fir, and blue spruce.

I think this is literally the perfect host gift for the holiday season. I also didn’t realize we burned through almost all of it last year so I just placed an order for another one!
