About Sunday Lawn Care
I have to admit that I often complain about the amount of work and time it takes to keep my lawn healthy and thriving. I’m a real amateur when it comes to gardening and landscaping and wouldn’t exactly claim to have a green thumb.
There are countless products out there that claim to be the perfect “cure-all” for dry, dead lawns, but how am I, or anyone for that matter, supposed to know what really works? The folks at Sunday Lawn Care know.
Their annual subscription service, which provides products and tools, takes the guesswork out of lawn care so I no longer have to compare soils at the hardware store.
This helpful service, which offers weed control solutions and lawn seed packets, has more than proven its value, as reported in publications like Forbes, Fortune and Daily Beast.
But is the lawn care line really worth the purchase? In this Sunday Lawn Care review, I’ll help you find out. With a deep dive into the company’s roots and origins, it could be the one-stop solution we’ve all been looking for.
Why You Should Trust Us
Our goal is to help you make better and more informed purchasing decisions.
Our team spends many hours on research, consultations with medical experts, peer reviews, customer feedback and product analysis to provide you with the information you need.
Overview Of Sunday Lawn Care
Like me, Coulter Lewis was overwhelmed by the many different lawn products available at his local hardware store.
All he wanted was to buy the best product available to maintain his lawn in his new home, but the process was unnecessarily frustrating.
Coulter took matters into his own hands and co-founded Sunday Lawn Care with his brother Trent.
But I discovered that Sunday Lawn Care is not just another company that uses pesticides.
Instead of going the route of traditional lawn care (which uses 90,000,000 pounds of pesticides annually), Sunday Lawn Care uses customized nutrients and cutting-edge plant science to help healthy grass grow naturally. It’s a smarter and undeniably healthier solution for the not-so-lush lawn outside my window.
The Lewis brothers didn’t stop there and brought Frank Rossi (the turf care professional at Yankee Stadium in New York) on board as scientific director. He acts as a watchful eye to keep their lawn care service in check.
Based on the belief that you can take care of your lawn with environmentally friendly products, the folks at Sunday Lawn Care say the following about their business:
“Your little piece of land is more than just a nice place to relax. It’s home to birds, bees and, well, an entire ecosystem.” I like that the people who would take care of my lawn actually take care of the earth – that means something to me.
Of course, it turns out they’re really good people, because a portion of the sales go to organizations that help people reconnect with nature and preserve important habitats across the country, like the tallgrass prairie.”
Now that you know a little more about the faces behind the brand, I’ll get to how the service actually works.
How It Works
Your Sunday Lawn Care Plan is specifically tailored to the needs of your lawn. This makes sense when you consider the many differences that exist.
The first step: enter your address and the brand will begin with a free soil, climate and turf analysis. This determines exactly what your lawn needs at any time of year.
And here’s the kicker: using satellite imagery, the Sunday Lawn Care team measures your lawn to determine the number of products you need. They don’t even have to visit you. Don’t hold it against me, I’m a total nerd when it comes to lawn care.
Then you’ll receive your customized annual lawn plan that includes 1 to 3 deliveries of nutrients, all the lawn equipment you need, a free soil test, unlimited support for your lawn, and 1 to 10 nutrient bags.
How thorough is that? Products like Grass Powerhouse, Lawn Power and Winter Prep Nutrient Bags can be added to your plan if needed.
After watching the instructional video on the website, I learned that Sunday Lawn Care even provides a hose and sprayer.
All you have to do is attach the nutrient bags to the sprayer and spread them on your lawn. How easy is that, and it applies to every type of lawn, from Kentucky bluegrass to Saint Augustine.
Pros & Cons
Before we go any further in this Sunday Lawn Care review, let’s go over some of the pros and cons of the brand:
Pros
- Personalized Plans: Sunday Lawn Care creates a custom lawn care plan based on your specific soil, climate and lawn type, which can lead to better results than a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Natural and eco-friendly: Sunday Lawn Care uses natural and organic ingredients in its products, which can be a benefit for people who want to avoid synthetic chemicals.
- Convenient: Sunday Lawn Care delivers its products directly to your home, which can be more convenient than going to a store to buy lawn care products.
- Easy to use: Sunday Lawn Care provides step-by-step instructions on how to use its products, which can be helpful for those new to lawn care.
Cons
- Results may vary: While Sunday Lawn Care’s customized approach can lead to better results, there’s no guarantee that your lawn will look perfect.
- Limited product selection: Sunday Lawn Care currently only offers a few products. So if you have specific lawn care needs, you may need to use additional products from another brand.
After looking at the website for this Sunday Lawn Care review, I found that the company offers 2 types of products in addition to the lawn care plan.
It turns out that you can also buy Sunday Lawn weed care products like Weed Warrior and Dandelion Doom. Sunday Lawn Care also sells grass seed such as Bermuda Time and Fescue Rescue.
Soon, I’ll go into detail about each of these products and services in my Sunday Lawn Care review so you know exactly what you’re getting. After that, you can decide if they’re right for you. Deal? Let’s get down to business.

Sunday Lawn Care Smart Lawn Plan Review

Although my lawn was a great audience, I don’t think it benefited from our conversations. With the Smart Lawn Plan, I’ve learned that customers can give their lawn all the plant nutrients and care it needs to stay healthy and green – personalized monologues optional.
After receiving the soil, climate and lawn test analysis, you will receive your customized lawn care plan, packed with nutrient bags, lawn tools and informational brochures.
I think it’s also worth mentioning that it’s an annual subscription, so you’ll receive deliveries throughout the year.
What’s in a nutrient bag? Oh, just about everything your lawn needs to thrive, such as organic ingredients like seaweed, iron, potassium, recycled products and even molasses. All things that will keep your lawn greener than your neighbor’s. Take that, Mr. Sanders.
I found that especially encouraging to know since conventional DIY nutrients can contain pesticides and herbicides that can be harmful to the environment and your family. The last thing you need is to worry about your children playing in the garden.
For an annual subscription price of $89, the Sunday Lawn Care Smart Lawn Plan turns gardening into a walk in the park.
Sunday Lawn Care Weed Control Review

With spring just around the corner, dandelions and other unwanted weeds may be slowly making their way into your lawn. I know the showdown all too well, often letting them rule the lawn instead of spraying toxic herbicides.
Instead of spending an afternoon weeding, Sunday Lawn Care’s weed control service can do it for you. How, you ask?
The first step is the Weed Warrior, the organic “powerhouse” for weed control. It kills unwanted grass, weeds, algae and moss with results that are visible in 20 minutes. Sorry, weeds, you just have to go.
The Weed Warrior contains organic herbicidal soap and is available in concentrated form. I prefer this product to the toxic stuff, but I wondered how it actually worked before I found this product:
This weed killer concentrate works by “penetrating the waxy cuticle of plants, causing the plant to dry out and die.” It can kill weeds such as white clover, thistle, daisies and others. A 2-pack of Weed Warrior spray bottles costs $24.
How does Dandelion Doom work? According to Sunday Lawn Care, “broadleaf weeds absorb Dandelion Doom readily and in greater quantities than grass, causing cell damage and eventual plant death in broadleaf weeds while leaving grass unharmed.”
The Dandelion Doom Spray costs $24 for two bottles.
If you’re curious and want to try both, I found out while writing this Sunday Lawn Care review that you can get a bottle of both for $24. Dandelion Doom and Weed Warrior are not included in the lawn plans, but are available as add-on products.
Who Is Sunday Lawn Care For?
Sunday Lawn Care is aimed at homeowners who want to have a healthy and lush lawn but may not have the time, knowledge or resources to do it themselves.
It is also designed for those who want to take a more environmentally friendly approach to lawn care. Sunday Lawn Care’s products are suitable for a variety of lawn types and soil conditions, so they can be used by homeowners across the United States.
Sunday Lawn Care Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Is Sunday Lawn Care reputable? I am pleased to announce at this point in my Sunday Lawn Care review, the answer is yes. How do I know this? Because the majority of customers are happy with the service and products and say so (as of April 2023).
On the brand’s website, I saw over 2,700 reviews, of which 1,870 were rated 5/5 stars. The most common feedback: customers state that their lawns were previously brown, bare and generally unhealthy.
But after implementing the Sunday Lawn Care Plan, their lawns have never looked healthier, even after the cold seasons of winter and fall.
“We have lived in our home for 14 years and have struggled every year with what we can do to make our yard as healthy as possible while not putting chemicals in the soil. This year that we have used Sunday has been the BEST ever,” wrote one Sunday Lawn Care visitor.
I also found that customers were happy with the supplemental products of lawn seed and Sunday Lawn Care weed killer. Most reported that they did their job well and resulted in beautiful, flourishing lawns.
“I used all the prescribed fertilizers, reseeded with the new Shady Lawn mix and applied Dandelion Doom to get rid of dandelions and moss. By October, I had a beautiful green lawn with mostly grass growing in places I could never get grass to grow,” reads a review from Sunday Lawn Care.
As for the red flags and complaints I looked for in this review of Sunday Lawn Care, I found that most of the negative reviews were on a Reddit forum for Sunday Lawn Care.
One customer reported that there were issues with missing supplies and defects with their pre-packaged hose and Sunday Lawn Care sprayer. Some users reported that their lawns did not improve after using the products.
Although this company provides the tools and instructions, you have to do the work yourself. We are dealing with nature here, so nothing is ever 100% guaranteed. All in all though, the feedback for this brand has been very positive.
Is Sunday Lawn Care Worth It?
Based on the product effectiveness that my research for this Sunday Lawn Care review revealed, I would encourage you to try the lawn care plan for yourself.
Going to the hardware store can be daunting – especially when you look at the numerous types of fertilizers, seeds and nutrients that may or may not be harmful to you or your lawn.
I am thrilled with this company’s approach. Sunday Lawn Care makes it easy by determining your lawn’s needs and sending you the products – a foolproof solution to brown, patchy and dry grass.
With the transparency of the ingredients (which are eco-friendly and safe, by the way), I appreciate knowing exactly what’s in each product and having peace of mind about what I’m bringing into my home.
From what I’ve seen while writing this Sunday Lawn Care review, and from the majority of positive customer reviews, I think the odds are pretty good that your lawn will look as green and healthy as ever.
