Embarking on a stroll with Max, our recently acquired Wheaten Terrier pup, usually calls for sturdy outdoor footwear such as my Topos. However, today, I couldn’t resist the charm of Max’s fresh haircut and bandana, prompting me to opt for a pair of pristine white Taos sneakers for our leisurely springtime jaunt along the rural road near our residence in central Indiana.
The Taos Star Burst sneakers, particularly the canvas Star model, are not your average flimsy lace-up shoes that only last for a season. These shoes are designed with a plethora of comfort features and are built to withstand the test of time.
The Taos sneakers are equipped with a Curves & Pods® polyurethane removable footbed that offers enhanced support in three key areas: the heel, arch, and metatarsal arch, in addition to providing excellent cushioning.
Despite the supportive footbed, the shoe maintains a sleek and stylish appearance. It is worth noting that individuals with high volume feet may find the toe box and instep to be slightly shallow. While I experienced some difficulty getting my foot into the shoes initially, once they were on, I had no issues.
I adore my new Taos sneakers and intend to pair them with shorts, sundresses, and my new favorite kick flare crop jeans. The sizing is accurate, but if you are considering wearing orthotics, you may want to consider ordering a half size up.
