SlideBelts Review

About SlideBelts

Have you ever had to compromise with a belt hole that was too loose or too tight? Or make your own hole with a knife or scissors? Those of us who wear belts regularly know the drill – either constantly pulling up our pants, on the verge of feeling uncomfortable, or risking looking unprofessional to find the right fit.

SlideBelts was developed to solve this problem. Their belts have no handles, so you always get the perfect fit. With notches sewn into the bottom of the belt, the buckle engages the notches to secure the belt in place. Since most belts fit up to a 48” waist size, you have more than 30 size options to find your perfect fit. Excess material? Simply cut the belt to your desired length.

You’re probably wondering why belts weren’t made this way before. The truth is, these types of belts have been around for some time – they’re just not readily available in the US. They’re called ratchet belts, and while they don’t traditionally look shiny, SlideBelts was born to make this possible.

SlideBelts Review

SlideBelts offers 4 different styles of belt straps with a selection of buckle options including classic, patriotic, and survival styles. I’ll walk you through a few of their best-selling styles below to give you a better idea of what they’re like and if they’re the right fit – and with more than 30 notches on each belt, they will be.

SlideBelts Survival Belt 2.0 Review

Do you love the wilderness, but need a belt that can keep up? The Survival Belt 2.0 is a classic ratchet belt without holes. Made from heat-resistant, waterproof and incredibly durable material, this flexible belt is abrasion-resistant, UV-protected and easy to clean – and I haven’t even told you about the tools included in the buckle!

The buckle itself attaches easily to your webbing. This means you can interchange this buckle with other webbing if you want to. To access the tools, you need to lift the lever. This keeps you safe, because inside you’ll find an AUS-8 stainless steel cutting tool, a fire starter, a bottle opener and an LED flashlight. With a metal alloy on the front for balance, this belt is not only useful but looks good too.

Available in 5 different neutral colors, you can get it on sale now for $120 – it’s normally $129.

SlideBelts American Flag Belt Review

The American flag belt is one of the brand’s most popular designs. It fits waist sizes up to 48 inches and is available in black, mocha, white and navy with a graphite or gunmetal colored buckle. With a strap width of 1.25”, it fits all types of belt loops and is made of faux leather that is durable but looks just like leather.

Show your love for your country with this patriotic style. Get your belt on sale for $51 (previously $55).

SlideBelts Full Grain Leather Belt Review

The Full Grain Leather Belt is the brand’s highest quality belt made from genuine leather. It is available in 9 different colors and fits up to a waist size of 44”. With a unique double ratchet buckle, this elegant belt with a strap width of 1.25” can be worn with both casual and evening wear.

Full grain leather is the highest quality leather available, so it takes on a natural patina over time, making it supple and adding a bit of richness to its color. Get this good-looking, classic style on sale for $64 (normally $69)

SlideBelts Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

You’ve already read about the details of the belts in this SlideBelts review, but it’s important to read customers’ experiences with them too. In this section, we’ll dive into the feedback from the brand’s website, Amazon and Trustpilot to see what these belts are really good for according to those who have bought or tried them. First, let’s take a look at some reviews from SlideBelts.com.

  • Survival belt: 4.8/5 stars, 713 reviews
  • Faux leather belt: 4.9/5 stars, 5,141 reviews
  • Full grain leather belt: 4.9/5 stars, 3,740 reviews
  • Canvas belt: 4.9/5 stars, 1,707 reviews

One customer wrote about the Survival Belt 2.0: “I work in the deep south (below I-10) where it’s hot and humid, leather, nylon, etc. Belts and pants get wet and stretch from sweat and movement. The Slide Belt with its 1/4 inch grids and waterproofed construction doesn’t stretch and keeps pants in place, zips up with a single tug if need be! Seems to cost $$$, but it’s worth it.”

About the full-grain leather belt, another buyer said: “I’m on my third buckle and my second belt. The first buckle took a beating. My carelessness. I wore it daily for leisure and work around the house/car. Eventually it wore out and I ordered a new buckle. I then ordered a new belt and buckle. The original belt looked as good as new after 2-4 years. The buckles are sturdy and a bit heavy.

From the reviews on the brand’s website, the majority of buyers love the SlideBelt, but there are a few quirks. I feel like these belts get criticized much more harshly than regular belts, but also that the brand has gone through many different designs and is constantly evolving their product. That being said, the

On Amazon, the classic SlideBelts have a 4.1/5 star rating and 5,649 total reviews. Here’s a look at the snapshot:

  • 5 stars: 57%
  • 4 stars: 17%
  • 3 stars: 8%
  • 2 stars: 9%
  • 1 star: 8%

One buyer said, “Great product, bought for my husband and he loved it so much we got one for my dad too. Fits both (one wears 32 pants and the other wears 46), just cut to fit! The only problem is that sometimes the buckle comes off, but it’s very easy to put back on.”

The feedback on Amazon was similar to that on the brand’s website, so let’s take a look at another source for good measure. On Trustpilot, SlideBelts has an overall rating of 4.⅘ stars with 3,068 reviews.

“SlideBelts makes high quality belts and buckles. The customer service is top notch and efficient. I own several belts for all occasions. I have also given these belts as gifts to many friends who now swear by them as one of the best inventions for everyday use,” wrote one customer.

From all the feedback I found for this SlideBelts review, it seems that the brand’s buyers provide excellent customer service and they love their belts much more than regular belts. All in all, SlideBelts seems to be an incredibly decent company with excellent products.

Is SlideBelts Legit?

SlideBelts is as legit as they come. I’ve read that they have great customer service and have had no issues with shipping or returns. From what I can see, they are a stand-up company that is honest and fair.

Is SlideBelts Worth It?

Anyone who wears a belt knows how difficult it is to find the right fit. I like that SlideBelts can be adjusted in ¼-inch increments. That’s a big difference from the average belt with loops that are about an inch apart. Plus, SlideBelts without holes don’t have the worn, unprofessional look that leather belts so often have – they stay polished longer.

Another thing I like? The options for the belt straps. From the highest quality leather to options for those who want to forgo leather altogether, this brand seems to have thought of everything.

If you order just one belt, you can easily customize it. Order several and you can swap out the buckles and straps. I love the versatility of this design, and the Survival Belt 2.0 is a really cool gift.

All in all, I think SlideBelts are worth the money – and I’m not the only one who thinks so. Thousands of reviews say the same.

SlideBelts Discount & Promotions

As I was browsing the brand’s website for this SlideBelts review, I saw that they have a Bundles and a Last Chance section. This is where you’ll find deals. With the bundles, you get a few dollars off your purchase, while there are some really great deals in the Last Chance section. But beware. The products in the Last Chance section are no longer available, meaning once they sell out, they don’t come back. In other words: If you like what you see, you shouldn’t wait for it.

In addition to these offers, SlideBelts also offers:

Where Can I Buy SlideBelts?

I found some of the brand’s products on Amazon, but to shop the entire collection and take advantage of the deals, I recommend visiting slidebelts.com.

FAQ

What is the difference between full-grain leather and top-grain leather?

SlideBelts offers both full grain and top grain leather belts. Here is a quick comparison to show you the differences:

  • Full-grain leather is very strong and durable, it comes from the top layer of the hide just under the hair and has a tightly packed grain. This means that scars, natural marks and scratches are sometimes visible on the leather. As full-grain leather ages, it develops a rich patina, meaning it changes color slightly and becomes more supple.
  • Top-grain leather does not develop a patina. It is the second highest quality of leather you can get. It is split from the top layer of the hide and then sanded. Top-grain is more durable than genuine leather, but not as durable as full-grain leather. You will find that this type of leather is softer than full-grain leather.

Are your buckles interchangeable?
All SlideBelt buckles are interchangeable with the belts. This means that you can combine your belt straps and buckles as you wish. However, SlideBelt does not recommend changing the buckles every day, as this wears out the belt quickly.

My belt is too long, what should I do?
Every belt is suitable for a waist size of up to 48“, with the exception of the black and mocha brown genuine leather belts, which fit up to a waist size of 44”. SlideBelts are designed so that they can be shortened. So if your waist is narrower, don’t worry, I’ve included the brand’s instructions here and the process is pretty simple. Your belt will come with a sizing guide that explains which mark you should cut off for your size. If your belt is still too long after the first cut, follow these steps:

  • Remove the buckle
  • Measure ½” from the edge where the buckle was attached
  • Cut the leather at the point where you measured.
  • Cut off all loose threads
  • Reattach the buckle
  • Try on the belt
  • If it is still too long, repeat the process.

What is SlideBelts’ shipping policy?
SlideBelts offers a range of shipping options for US residents, including standard and expedited shipping. Delivery times range from 3-8 business days and are up to $20. It takes 1-2 business days to assemble your order. So order your belt at least 10 days in advance if you need it for a specific event.

SlideBelts also offers international shipping, but cannot guarantee a delivery date.

Shipping times are often unpredictable for international orders. We cannot guarantee the actual shipping date.

What is SlideBelts’ return policy?
SlideBelts accepts returns of unused, undamaged and unaltered items within 45 days of purchase. Returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and the company always strives to be fair. To start a return, visit the returns page. Once the brand has approved your return request, you can send your items back to the following address:
